Q: I found a job in JLT a month ago and now I got a better offer from a Mainland company, which I want to accept their offer.
I am still on probation with a 2-year contract, but it clearly mentions that both parties can terminate the contract within the notice period.
So not sure if it's a limited or unlimited contract. Didn't inform the employer yet.
What will the process look like? Will I be banned? Should I pay a fee?

Q: I'm on a limited contract.
I would like to resign from my current job and I have not completed my probation period; I have completed only 3 months.
I would like to take up a better offer in another country. Am I liable to pay anything to my employer?
Do I need to get a consent signature from my employer to get the visa cancelled?
My visa is in Dubai, UAE, a limited contract visa.

Thanks for the detailed article. It was really helpful. I just had a small query and would be really grateful if you could clarify.
I had an unlimited contract but I left the job within two months because I got a really better opportunity in Dubai itself.
The agreement stated that if I left before 12 months, I'll have to pay a penalty. Is it true?
(I checked some articles and I found that it isn't)

Q: Hi!
I need your suggestion and advice regarding my case.
I'm about to file a resignation letter to my current employer. I have had a limited working visa for 2 years. And I have been working for the company for 5 months.
I want to file a resignation because they are giving me other responsibilities and they are not mentioned in my said contract.
May I know what are the sanctions they will file on me once I file my resignation and also my 1 month notice period?

Our internal contract has a notice period of 3 months from both parties. In the new labor implementation, only one month's notice is required for less than 5 years of service.
Please advise if we can follow our internal contract since the position is very curtailed and the organization will not be able to replace the position within one month.

Some say it is basic + HRA for the month you will take off, others say it is full salary, and somewhere I read it is basic + HRA (annual leave salary) plus the normal salary you get.

How to appeal the labor judgment if the court did not approve all my dues? 0
My employer has not paid my salary for 8.5 months. I went to the labor court, and was referred to Dubai Courts.
The judgment came and I did not receive the full claim including salaries and 3 months' compensation.
