Consequences of breaching a limited employment contract

Sir,

I joined a company 1 week ago with a limited contract. Now I can't work with my employer and also I got another job.

They also issued a visa. Can I leave my job during the probation period? Any ban or compensation?

Please help me.

Good evening,

Thanks for your query.

Please be advised that as per the UAE Labour Law, if you breach a limited contract before the end of the term of that contract, you must compensate your employer by paying 45 days salary.

Some employers are flexible and allow the employee to work for those 45 days for free instead of paying them this amount.

Please note that there is also an automatic 6 months ban when you resign before the end of the term of your contract. However, your employer can add another 6 months ban, making it a total of a 1-year ban.

I hope this answers your question.

If you require any further clarification, feel free to ask us.

But they didn't write anything in the contract about compensation.
