Q: Hello Sir/Madam,
I am currently working for an Abu Dhabi private company. My contract is a limited contract and I completed 10 months of service in this company.
I don't like this company, how to cancel my visa legally and how much will I pay to my company?
My basic salary is AED 500 and overtime AED 350, so how much in total I will pay for the cancellation process?
please clarify me

Q: Hi.
I am on an unlimited contract as a project manager at a company in Dubai.
I resigned from my job during the probation period, as I had to leave the country urgently and couldn't work for more than three weeks of my notice period.
The company is asking me to pay them 45 days compensation as per my full salary and not my basic salary.
First, are they entitled to any payment from me? Secondly, could they ask for payment as per my full salary or only basic salary?
I appreciate any help on this issue.

Q: I am working in Jebel Ali Free Zone with a limited contract.
As per my offer letter I have to serve the notice period of 60 days and 45 days of basic salary. But I came to know my employer is charging 45 days of gross salary after serving the complete notice period.
Just wanted to check, is it legal to ask for 45 days of gross salary in case I serve the complete notice period?

Q: Good day,
I left the job one year ago with the consent of my employer but they have my passport and not cancelling my visa.
They are asking me to pay them AED 10 for not finishing the contract and worked only for 8 months.
Please let me know what action should I take to make myself legal or come back to my home country.

My limited-term employment contract states as below.
Please let me know, does this entitle my employer to deduct 6 months salary if I terminate the contract without serving a notice period.
"Should either party desire to terminate the renewed contract, such party shall notify the other party of such desire within (3 Months) prior to the date of termination. Such period shall be similar for both parties. Both parties have agreed that the termination wage to be paid by the terminating party to the other party shall be equivalent to the value of the worker’s total wage in (3 months). Such wage shall be similar for both parties."

Where specifically in the law can you find this answer:
If an employee terminates the limited contract before the expiry date, they are not eligible for any benefits like gratuity, leave salary, and ticket.
Instead, the employee has to compensate the employer with 45 days' salary if the employer makes a claim for it.
