0
Q: Last Friday, I was booking tickets for the Miracle Garden on some Dubai tickets website, and on the OTP page, it showed 225 to be paid on my phone. The otp was added automatically, and I couldn't read the message properly. It turns out 4,225 got deducted from my account.
I immediately called the bank, and they said they can't reverse the transaction, fill out the dispute resolution form, etc. Even tho the transaction was in process today, the transfer shows complete.
Is there a way to get it back?
I registered an online complaint with the Central Bank and cybersecurity. I really need the money with my rent coming up, please guide me.

Scammed on Telegram: How can I get my money back?

1
Q: Dear Lawyers,
On 6th October 2024, on the Telegram app, I was scammed for Rs 941,600. The scammers initially paid me small amounts of Rs 300 and Rs 100 for voting tasks and a welfare task in a group.
They then demanded larger sums, stating that I could not skip these payments; otherwise, no withdrawals could be made.
It all started two days earlier when I received a message on WhatsApp from someone claiming to be the HR manager of a company, offering an online part-time job.
I was trapped and lost a huge amount of money. I am under a lot of stress due to this unbearable financial loss.

The shareholders’ agreement should address capital contributions, profit-sharing, voting procedures for key strategic decisions, rights to board representation, restrictions on transferring shares to third parties, and an arbitration process in case of disputes.

My bank accounts were blocked in the execution of cheque criminal cases. How to unblock them? 0
I urgently need legal assistance in Dubai.
I'm facing multiple execution cases, a criminal complaint for a bounced cheque, and several personal debts under agreements. The total amount is around AED 500,000.
Due to execution orders, my UAE bank accounts are blocked, some with negative balances from cheque enforcement, making it impossible to use them for settlements.
I do have international accounts and can withdraw up to AED 35,000 per day, of which I am ready to allocate AED 30,000 daily for settlements and legal fees.
I am looking for a licensed lawyer or firm that can represent me in all these cases, negotiate with creditors, assist in making payments (either via courts, banks, or through your office), and provide a clear roadmap to resolve everything.
I also need guidance on how long banks will take to unblock accounts and clear negative balances after settlement.
If I pay the bank directly, will the accounts be immediately restored and cases closed? Please share your fee estimate.

I have child custody case with my wife and she holds their passports preventing me to renew visas. What to do? 0
I have a child custody case with my wife. We are currently on separation pending divorce, and she has taken the children's passports, preventing me from renewing the children's UAE Visa.
Now they have 1 year overstay, and my employer has cancelled dependent benefits, including school fees. My wife works at the same school the children are enrolled in, and they are telling me I can not transfer the children based on the KHDA directive.
I also remain liable for fees, but it's way out of my financial reach.
Any help or advice?

How can I close my free zone company if it has never been operational? 0
I opened my company in a free zone last year with a third-party agent (e-commerce). It was registered for corporate tax, and I got the visa and the Emirates ID, but the company hasn't been operational, and didn't get a bank account.
Now I got a notification that my trade license is expiring soon. I contacted a third party, and they quoted me 8,500 USD (AED 31,000) for renewal. I said, since I'm not in the UAE and not going to do any business in the UAE, I want to close it.
They quoted 9,000 USD (AED 33,000) for closing, with prices like "publications in newspaper" for 1,000 USD. I found their prices unreasonably high and wanted to proceed with another company that quoted the same process for AED 5,000.
I also contacted IFZA Freezone to ask how much it will cost to work with them directly, but I'm constantly being pushed by the free zone to work with an agent. I asked the agent for an NOC certificate, and they quoted it for 3,000 USD.
I want to know what my rights are in all this?
Should I just pay whatever price they ask for?

I sold my car to a car agency and they claim that the car is dead to deduct an amount. What can I do? 0
I sold my vehicle to a known Buy and Sell agency in Abu Dhabi last 25 July 2025. They inspected the vehicle meticulously and quoted AED 12,000 Net.
A vehicle sale-purchase agreement was presented, revealing that they will cut AED 600 for a convenience fee. So my Net pay will be 11,400. I agreed and signed all in good faith.
I was instructed to wait until their PRO call and do the transfer of title at the vehicle registry. Since it was Friday, the transfer was not completed, and I have to wait till Monday.
The next day, Saturday (17:30-18:00), they sent a message that the car is dead, sent it via recovery to Dubai for another inspection. They told me that the price needs to be renegotiated; they gave me a figure of AED 9000.
They sent me a new agreement with the figure of 9000, but I did not sign it and just ignored it. Transfer finished, then they sent 11,400 to my account. Now they want the alleged excess back.
Legally, do I owe them? Or I am being harassed as phone calls and emails are non-stop.

How can I recover money from a colleague who blocked me and refuses to repay? 0
Hello,
I am seeking your legal advice regarding a matter involving a former colleague who borrowed money from me for personal reasons.
Despite multiple follow-ups, he has now blocked all communication and is refusing to repay the amount. I have clear proof of the transaction through bank transfer records, WhatsApp conversations, and a copy of his Emirates ID.
This individual has a history of borrowing money from others and not repaying, and even told me to "go to the police," showing no intention of resolving the issue.
Please advise on the best legal course of action to recover the amount and proceed with a formal complaint if necessary.
Looking forward to your guidance!
