Can a clinic and a doctor sue me for defamation if I mention the doctor's name in a negative review of the clinic on Google Maps?
Also if they were to proceed with legal action, as they are threatening to do so if I don’t take the review down, how would that affect me as I am not a resident in Dubai and only visit once every 6 months?

رفعت الزوجة قضية طلاق بناءً على اتهامات وأكاذيب باطلة والتي تسببت في الإضرار بسمعة الزوج وعرضته للضغوط النفسية والأضرار المالية.
بما أن محكمة الاستئناف رفضت قضية الطلاق، فهل يمكن للزوج المتضرر رفع قضية تشهير أو نشوز؟
ترفض الزوجة العيش مع زوجها لأكثر من 16 شهرًا وتمنع الأطفال من رؤية الأب أو التحدث إليه وتحتفظ بجوازات سفر الأطفال.
حاول الزوج تعيين ثلاثة محامين مختلفين للمساعدة في قضيته لكن ذلك جعل الأمر أكثر تعقيدًا وصعوبة من الناحية المالية.

إعادة استئناف الحكم لتأييد حكم المحكمة الابتدائية
س: لقد رفعت قضية جنائية بسبب التعرض للعنف المنزلي الجسدي والتشهير والتهديدات الموجهة لي في ديسمبر 2018.
بعد سلسلة طويلة من الإجراءات في النيابة العامة وجمع الأدلة بالإضافة إلى شهادة الشهود، أصدرت المحكمة الابتدائية حكمًا ضد المتهم بالسجن ثلاثة أشهر والترحيل وغرامة 10 آلاف في نوفمبر 2019.
استأنف المتهم القضية، وأصبح "بريئًا" من كافة التهم الثلاث.
تقدمت بطلب للنيابة العامة لإعادة الاستئناف وإحالته إلى محكمة النقض. ولكنهم أرسلوا لي رسالة نصية قصيرة يخبروني بالرفض بعد يوم واحد من تقديم الطلب. كيف يمكن أن يحدث هذا؟ من المفترض أن تكون النيابة العامة هي المدافع عني في هذه القضية.
لم أعد أشعر بالأمان بصفتي امرأة عزباء تعيش هنا. ليس من السهل عليّ المغادرة لأن لديّ أطفال يذهبون إلى المدرسة هنا وقد هددهم أيضًا.
أريد أن أعرف ما إذا كانت هناك أي إجراءات يمكنني اتخاذها لجعل محاكم النقض تأخذ الأمر على محمل الجد وتنظر في ملف القضية مرة أخرى.

Are email and WhatsApp voice messages sufficient proof to file a defamation case?
Q: Dear Lawyers,
My former partner in the company has been saying bad things about me and my family, especially after his cheque payment bounced. He directly threatened, via his company email, to defame me among my relatives.
He also sent a WhatsApp voice message (in Persian) to my brother-in-law, filled with offensive language and defamation threats against me and my family.
1) Are the email and WhatsApp voice messages sufficient proof to file a defamation case?
2) Can I send him a legal notice in advance and request an apology letter within 7 days?
3) Do I have the right to ask for a signed apology letter addressed to me and my family?
4) Can I share the apology letter with the people he defamed me to?

Somebody filed a complaint against me and is not answering calls. Can I request the police to close the case?
Q: A verbal abuse complaint was filed against me. Though there is no witness and no direct evidence, there are a few indirect WhatsApp messages that may be open to interpretation and were provided by the complainant.
The police filed a case and seized my phone. It has now been over 3 months.
The police transferred to the public prosecutor. However, the case was returned with a recommendation for settlement or moving to a one-day court.
The complainant refused to settle before and now does not answer the police calls when they try to get the complainant to sign the notice for one one-day court hearing so this can move forward.
I am following up with the police every week but there is no progress.
What can be done now?
Can I request the police to close the case or move it to one-day court regardless?
What are my options?

I purchased a rented apartment in Abu Dhabi. Can I evict the tenant immediately if there is no Tawtheeq contact?
I recently purchased a rented apartment in Abu Dhabi and agreed to honor the existing lease. After the transfer, I discovered that the lease is not a Tawtheeq contract, meaning it is not officially registered.
Since I am not receiving rent (as it was a non-refundable arrangement with the seller), I prefer not to issue a new Tawtheeq. I also want to avoid a formal notice to vacate to prevent disputes, as I plan to move in.
However, I have already informed the tenant that I will not be renewing the lease. I need legal advice on the implications of proceeding without a Tawtheeq contract.
What are my risks, especially if the tenant refuses to move out?
What legal actions, if any, can the tenant take in this situation?

What can I do if my employment visa got rejected multiple times by CID?
Hi Everyone,
I have been working in the UAE since 2019.
Since 31 December 2024, I have been in my home country because my visa was rejected a couple of times.
After waiting for 3 months, I found a new job in the UAE, but the employer told me again that the government did not approve my visa, and that was part of the CID approval.
I would like to know if I can find something to clear my issues, which would allow me again to start my work in the UAE.

I'm looking for advice- I had applied for immigration service to Canada via an agency in Dubai, however, it's been a few months and there is no positive reply from their end.
They keep giving evasive answers, such as my job role is not coming up, or the Government has put the applications on hold, or other things which are totally different from the picture painted before availing their service.
The contract mentions this about refund: "The company is eligible to provide a refund if any wrong information is provided during our advocacy while discussing the case with the consultant."
My Question is- are such immigration consultancies legal in the UAE?
Is it legal for them to provide such services?
And am I eligible for a refund if not for damage claims (for wasting my time with their inefficient services)?
