Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I purchased a car from Dubai's largest second-hand dealership with full faith in their claim, on their website, that all cars on sale are thoroughly inspected and free from any material defects. Eleven months later, I decided to sell the car privately and received a matching offer. However, I was unable to sell it despite passing the RTA test because I discovered that the car had undergone chassis repair, with evidence that such repairs took place before the car was sold to me. The dealership must have been fully aware of these defects when they completed the RTA registration on my behalf. I had no doubt that the car was defective as its VIN number did not return any history of accidents. I feel extremely disappointed and let down because the car is now worth 50k less. Could you please advise me on my legal options? Am I in a position to sue them for compensation?

Q: Hi Sir, I bought a second-hand car from a reputed dealer in Dubai On April 18, 2024. After four days of ownership, I realized the car was jittering/vibrating/ hesitating to maintain at a particular speed. I immediately informed the car dealer and they promised to fix it the first time but when I got the car after rectifying and repairing it, it had the same issue. Again I informed the car dealer about it and they took the car again for a spark plug change and took three and a half days to repair it. Once I got the car back I realized the same issue was still there. Now for the third time, I informed them and they are asking me to come again for repair/inspection purposes. I asked them to share the pre-inspection report as they claim they have a 150-point check-up but they have not shared the report to date. The car is under warranty for a year. Q: Hello, I bought a second-hand car from a showroom based in the Ras Al Khor area. When the car was taken to care in service I learned that the car had an accident that was around AED 206K. I bought the car for AED 133K also. They did not say anything about the accident and when I checked the car according to the plate number, there was not any notification online.
