Can you file a labor case for holding EOSB without affecting your new job?
Q: My son works in an education provider company in Dubai. He started the job on 22 November 2018. He is resigning on 06 June 2022. The company told him that they need 3 months notice period. So he completed it. Now even though the company is enormously profitable, they are not ready to pay his gratuity. His take-home salary is 4250 but his basic salary is shown as AED 500 (which is notoriously low). As per my calculation, he is eligible to get AED 1300 at least, but the company says they will not pay and he has to sign a no-dues certificate. They said if he did not sign, they are telling him they will not hand over his degree certificate (again holding illegally without any proof) and the last month`s salary. My son worked so hard for them and he really deserves that settlement. What will he do in this situation? If we file a complaint in the labor court, does this become an issue for his new job joining? Q: Hi Ma`am This is about my husband getting terminated in Dubai. He has been terminated on the grounds of misbehavior which is a false allegation by the employer. He has completed 1 year period at the company. The employer has filed a labor complaint against my husband. I`m not much aware of the labor law of Dubai. The amount of maintenance for the wife decided by court after separation
Q: Dear Sir, My wife and I are both residents of the UAE and are both Muslims, married in India under Sharia Law, and registered in the UAE. While my visa is sponsored by my company in Dubai, she is staying with her parents in Abu Dhabi. We are not staying together since Sept 20 as she was not a good wife to me. We don’t have any children. In Jan 2022, she filed a maintenance case against me in Abu Dhabi court. There was a video conf. call with personal status court. Yesterday, I got another message again from the court to attend the video conference call. The next date they gave us was on 17 May 2022. Hence I request you to please advise me why they asked for my salary certificate. Will they ask me to pay monthly maintenance to her? If yes, then how much would it be monthly? Does the maintenance come under Sharia law even though we are not divorced yet?
