Can the employer put a ban on me if I resign during probation to take another offer?

Good morning,

I have a question regarding a new offer letter, that I received in March 2022 (after the new labor law has come into effect in February 2022).

I have joined a new company and the offer letter states it is an UNLIMITED contract, although I understand that this type of contract does not exist anymore under the new labor law.

So in case of resignation during the probation period, and in general, does the new labor law apply or the contract that I signed?

Also, do I get a labor ban when I resign during the probation period (my position is Sales Executive)?

Thank you

As per the new labor law, only a limited contract exists, hence I do not think the contract signed is unlimited. It shall be a limited contract.

The ban applies only if you do not serve the notice period.

Thank you for your reply.

Does that mean I have to serve a notice period of 30 days when resigning in the probation period?

Is it sure that my current employer cannot put any labor ban on me?

Also,

The offer letter that I received definitely states unlimited. So nevertheless, the new labor law comes into effect I assume.

My main point is that if I resign during the probationary period, that I am not getting a labor ban.

Are you planning to leave the country or move to another employer inside the UAE?

I am planning to move to another employer in the UAE.

Please advise if my current employer can put a ban on me?

You shall serve 30 days notice period and the new employer will be liable to pay your expenses to the current employer.

Thank you and apologies for the delay in replying.

My question is, can my current employer put a ban on me if I serve the 30 days notice?

I have an attested education certificate (secondary education).

No, you shall give a notice period.
