Dismissed labor case due to absence: How to re-register it?

Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I registered a labor case on February 22, 2023, and paid the court fees. However, I have not received any communication from Dubai Courts since then. On March 9 at 10:22 PM, I received an email from the Dubai Court stating that the case had been dismissed because the plaintiff (me) had not appeared. Despite checking my inbox, spam emails, and text messages, I did not receive any notification to appear in court on March 9. Please advise me on what to do next!

Can a new landlord enforce a notice to vacate given by the previous landlord?

Q: Dear Sir/Madam, My previous landlord in Dubai had given me a 12-month notarized notice to vacate the property as he intended to sell it. However, the property was sold within 3 months and the new landlord is now trying to enforce the previous notice. I have heard that, as per a recent RERA ruling, the notice to vacate cannot be transferred from the old landlord to the new one. Could you please confirm if this is correct, and if so, what should be my next steps?

Debt settled, record clear, but facing lifetime ban in Dubai. What to do?

Q: Dear Sir/Madam, My debt was settled with the bankers in 2017. My colleague was checking in at a police station in Dubai and my record is clear; that being said, there is no ban. However, another PRO has said that I have a lifetime ban and must pay a sum of 40,000 Dhs to lift the ban. Can you please clarify whether I need to clear this from the immigration system or if both the police and immigration systems are the same?

Can I open a free zone company in Dubai and to have subsidiaries in other countries?

Q: I am planning on setting up a company in a free zone in Dubai (DUQE or Meydan). The company will not be conducting any business activities in Dubai but will be mainly formed to fully own an existing consulting and innovation hub company in Tanzania. The reason we are registering a company here is to make it easy for us to raise investments. Q: Hi, I am a partner and manager in an LLC company. However, the share in my name is not mine (it belongs to another investor). I have resigned from the company. The other partner has not removed my name from the license or returned the shares. Do I have any legal means to remove myself from this license?

What can I do if the tenant of my villa makes changes without my consent?

Q: I have a villa in Dubai and the rent contract between us and the tenant stipulates that the tenant can not make any modifications or changes to the villa without the owner’s written consent. I found that the tenant had made additions that can damage the structure of the villa, also he neglected the swimming pool maintenance and stopped the garden irrigation system for the garden under the pretext that he does not need the swimming pool and the garden. I spoke with him and he claimed that when he leaves the villa in the future he would repair the damage. Note that he entered the construction materials from the gate of the complex without taking the approval of the developer. I sent him a warning through the notary to remove the added structure and repair the damages within a period of thirty days, but he ignored the warning. The initial estimate of the damage is much more than his deposit with us. Please advise

Do you need to present your documents and response before an online hearing?

Q: I`m an employer and an employee claimed 50% overtime. The actual overtime working hours were 20% for which extra was added to his salary with the right calculation. A MOHRE case was logged but it`s now in court. Our first hearing is next week (online court sessions). Do I need to prepare my documents that can be presented in court or do I need to prepare something in advance to show my calculations and proof?

Do I have to pay my employer any compensation if I resign after probation?
