Can the landlord give me a two-month eviction notice to sell the apartment?
Q: Dear Sir I have been living in an apartment in Dubai for the last few years. A few months ago, my contract expired and I asked the landlord to renew it. I was told by the building management that he has not paid his service charges for the last few months and he has been blocked on the DLD system and cannot renew till he clears his dues. I continued to pay rent as per the old contract without any arrears. He kept promising that he would clear his dues with the building management but has not done it. Recently he told me that he is going to sell the property and I should vacate the premises within 2 months. He did not give me the proper 1-year notice. What are my options? How to remove my name from the company bank accounts after leaving the company?
Q: I left the company last January 19, 2023. I was the authorized person with a power of attorney and MOA, my name was also in the trade license as the Manager. I was the authorized person in the company`s bank or the bank account is in my name. 1 week after I left the company, they changed the MOA and trade license. However, the bank`s name or the authorized person is still not yet change. I have suggested closing the bank account, however, the company did not allow me to. Navigating loan repayment after divorce - personal status or civil case?
Q: Dear sir/madam, I gave a loan of 75,000 AED to my husband, who signed a simple, three-sentence loan confirmation letter acknowledging receipt of the money as a loan from me (not notarized). Afterward, we got divorced. He is now refusing to repay the loan. A) What should I do, start a Personal Status case using Article 62/1 or a Civil Case? Q: Assalamu alaikum, sir. My employer is a local Emirati and he hired me as a cashier in a grocery store. He did not give me a contract on the first day, and when he applied for a visa for me, he did not ask me. He gave me his house visa as a servant. Does the bank have the right to file a civil case if I fail to pay instalments after raising them?
Q: Dear Sir, I had a credit card with a bank (Islamic card). The limit is 36k and the guarantee cheque I signed mentions the same amount 36k only.
