My husband is facing deportation despite being acquitted. What to do?

Hi Sir/Madam,

My husband was caught in a drug case with his friend. After three hearings and a court judgment, he was released from jail.

Now, how can he get his passport?

When he asked for his passport, the officers said that he was deported from the UAE. However, his judgment, including the appeal court judgment, proves that he is innocent.

Is it possible?

Dear Questioner,

If he obtains an acquittal, he will not be deported.

However, deportation is of two types: by a judicial ruling, or by an administrative decision.

Most likely your husband was deported by an administrative decision, not issued by the court, but by the Ministry of Interior.

If he is deported, are there any solution?

If it is an administrative deportation, a request for clemency can be submitted to the Federal Authority for Identity.

The court acquitted him, so how can he be deported now that he has been proven innocent?

Please add your contact number, sir.
