How to claim back money paid to AC repair vendor if he failed to fix it?
Q: I`m a landlord and had taken services from a company for repairing the AC in my townhouse. The guy working for the company asked me to transfer the money to an alternate account to expedite things. He was not able to fix the problem and was also very rude to our tenant. In the end, he returned the parts and we ended up fixing it from another vendor. Now they are not returning my advance of AED 1300. How do I sort this out? A tenant offers to pay rent after 30-day notice: What are my options?
Q: Dear Sir/Madam, Rental dispute with my tenant. Timeline of events: 1. Cheque due date: June 8, 2023. 2. Gave him 25 days as requested. 3. Raised a formal police complaint for a bounced cheque (as the account was closed/fraud) on July 3, 2023. 4. Again asked him to pay up or vacate; he asked for more time and I gave him more time. 5. Sent him a formal 30-day legal notice to pay and vacate the property on August 2, 2023. 6. On August 24, he called me to offer a partial payment; I said he had to pay in full by the due date. 7. On August 25, I received the RDC notice of offer and deposit, in which he stated the following: "The applicant requests your kind approval to accept an offer and deposit a cash amount of AED XXX in exchange for the rental value." If I accept the notice, how much time will he be given by the court to pay the amount? If I reject the offer, what will be the implications? Can I leave my job without notice if I found a better job offer?
Q: Respected Sir, I have completed 8 months in a company and it was mentioned in the contract that after completing 6 months of probationary period, the salary will be revised. But it was not revised for the last 2 months. I got a new opportunity and asking for immediate joining, so I want to resign immediately and I am ready to compensate the company. But they are asking for a complete 3-month salary. But in my contract, it is mentioned that you have to pay 45 days` basic salary and expenses of working visa and license expenses. Kindly suggest to me what should I do because they are asking for 3 3-month complete salary which is not possible for me to pay.
