I had a major car accident and the insurance company is not paying the full amount. What to do?

Q: Good afternoon, I was involved in a major car accident that went through public prosecution. It is important to know that I am the victim in this. My car has been declared a total loss, and they are offering 50% less than the insured sum. I am also trying to recover our medical expenses and personal injury following the accident, for which I have all the invoices and medical diagnosis reports. My insurance is [------] fully comprehensive, but they are not offering any support with recovering the medical expenses or with claiming for personal injury, as I was not at fault in this accident. The faulty party`s insurance legal representative mentioned that she does not understand English and does not understand the emails or documents that I send. She is claiming that my medical diagnosis does not suggest that the injury was caused by the accident, even though it is mentioned within the report that the trauma from the car accident is a likely cause of the blood clot initially.

My husband and I are Canadian Muslims and he passed away in the UAE. How to open an inheritance case?

We have a Canadian will, but I understand that it won’t be honored as I am named the sole beneficiary, and that does not align with Sharia laws in the UAE. He was not a UAE resident but had a small apartment with no Will in the UAE. We have 3 children. I am planning to go to Dubai to start an inheritance case. I don’t know the exact order of events and what needs to be done first. 1) Do I initiate anything from overseas before making travel plans to Dubai, or do I start once I arrive in Dubai? Mind you, we cannot afford to stay in Dubai for too long, as the kids have school. 2) Do I need a lawyer, or can this be done by myself? 3) I understand all foreign documents need to be authenticated before presenting them to the court. But I don’t know at what stage I would need these documents authenticated. I would appreciate it if you could provide a breakdown of the steps, the forms that are needed, and where I can find them. My contract includes a three-month notice period, but I do not want to return to my home country; I simply want to leave this toxic work environment. What would be the best way to handle this situation? I am currently working in Dubai under my company`s work visa. After my resignation, my visa will be canceled. I want to explore other career opportunities in Dubai. How can I extend my stay beyond 30 days? After 30 days, can I stay on a visit visa? If so, how can I apply for one? Do I need to return to my home country to obtain a visit visa and then re-enter Dubai?

Q: I joined the company (Media City free zone) on December 4th, 2023, and resigned on February 15th, 2025. We agreed that my last working day would be April 15, 2025, as my contract specifies a two-month notice period. Yesterday, March 25, 2025, I received an email from the HR department requesting that I sign the visa cancellation letter today or before receiving my end-of-service payment and final salary. I have researched the DMCC and UAE laws and found that I should not sign any visa cancellation letter until I have received my payment. I was provided with a final settlement letter from the company yesterday. The amount mentioned is correct; however, the letter includes clauses related to the payment that I do not agree with. According to my research, and in line with UAE law, there is no legal requirement for employees to sign an internal release or waiver to receive these statutory entitlements.

Check the previous owner`s records on the vacating agreement. 4. The broker who confirmed move-out has PoA. 5. Verify ownership transfer notification to tenant. 6. Check DEWA for service disconnection details. 7. Assess rent due from 09/20/2024 – 10/11/2024 and payment status to new landlord. I would like to know what the CA would do, who does it favor, and what kind of proofs are needed to be provided. What if the CA cannot verify the house vacancy?
