How to handle family abusing

Q: Hello, I am a Bahraini 24 years old male working and earning of my own. My father is a very difficult person. Whenever something goes wrong or if I say something which I don`t like about him, he starts hitting me and abusing me. He is my father, so I don`t want to take any action or react but it is killing me from inside it is shattering my confidence and making me feel low all the time. What can I do?

Consequences of non-renewal of visa and labour contract

Q: Kindly advise what can I do now that my visa already expired (expiry date is 04.04.2019). I keep waiting for my boss to have it renewed as he promised it will be renewed. The grace period is already finished and at this time, I have not received his advised for renewal yet. My labour contract is also not renewed. I am still working with them but I feel like somebody will just catch me as at this time I know I am over-staying. Is filing a resignation and complaining to labour the solution for my situation? I also have a credit card that I agree for a settlement a few months back, but since our salary is always delayed, the bank said they will cancel the settlement and will file a case. How can I check if I really have a case now? Can the police just put me in jail? Hoping you can somehow give me advice.

Breaching contract by the service provider and possible action

Q: Compensation for poor performance & false accusations. We hired a consultancy agency to provide us with their services. During our working relationship, the deliveries were consistently late, and the service was unreliable. We gave them numerous chances to improve performance and meet timelines. The details of these problems have been communicated to them repeatedly but they did not address the problems in a timely manner, causing us extra expenses in addition to mental and emotional agony. During the project, my father passed away & they have used this matter as an excuse to pause work on the project without notifying us causing us further delays. Recently, we serviced them a notice for contract termination for their failure to adhere to mentioned services. In response, they have wrongfully accused me of talking badly about their staff & making insulting & inappropriate comments about their work which have made the working relationship difficult. Do we have legal rights to pursue?

Claim against a beauty salon for negligence and damage

Q: My wife recently had her nails done in Abu Dhabi. During the so-called soaking off of the old nails which included using acetone & aluminium foil, after a time my wife noted her fingers were becoming sore. After removing the foils, her fingertips were showing extensive burns. In 20 odd years, this has never happened. Can we claim for this type of negligence? The right to sue a father for abusive behaviour against the mother

Q: My mother has been suffering from mental abuse by my father from as long as I can remember. Even now, she continues to bear his behaviour for the sake of our wellbeing. There have also been instances of physical violence in the past. Whenever things go against my father`s wish or will, things get ugly verbally. He doesn`t resort to physical violence anymore, probably because I`m a 26-year-old male adult now and he knows I will defend her as I have clearly indicated it to him. I would like to ask two things: 1) Is mental abuse considered as abuse within UAE law? 2) If yes, can I seek any legal action against my father on behalf of my mother? Because she won`t speak up as it may jeopardise our wellbeing.
