Ensuring that the employee will not approach the clients after leaving
Q: I have a small company of 4 people. One of my oldest staff who has worked for 11 years is leaving. He handles 80% of my clients and work. Without proof, I know he is going to open his firm. I don`t want to harm him but I want to secure my clients. Is it legally okay for me to make him sign a contract that he cannot approach my clients in the near future? If yes, then what will be the procedure? Do I have to go to the notary to make this contract valid?

Travel ban, credit card payments and possible consequences of default
Q: My friend is telling me that everything is now connected with the Emirates ID. And once it is cancelled or your visa is cancelled, all connected banks will get a notification, and the bank will cross-check in their system regarding that person`s dues, fines, loans. If they found it, they will take immediate action in order to stop that person from leaving the UAE, is this true? Is there any reality in this fact? I do not have any loan, I am paying my monthly minimum credit card payment. Does the credit card bank get to know that I am leaving because my visa/emirates ID is now cancelled? Will they stop me at the airport?

س: السلام عليكم، أريد استشارة قانونية. أنا موظفة في صالون أعمل فيه منذ ٤ أشهر بعقد مدته سنة ويجدد تلقائيًا. جعلتني صاحبة العمل أوقع على شهر إنذار، مع العلم أنني لم أوقع على إنذارات سابقًا. كتبت راتبي في العقد ٢٥٠ مع العلم أن راتبي ٥٠٠. هل من حقها أن تجعلني أوقع على شهر إنذار بعد ما استفادت مني في شهور الموسم وضغط العمل؟ هل أنا مجبرة في شهر الإنذار أن أداوم ١٠ ساعات؟ مع العلم أن المكتوب في العقد ساعات العمل ٨ ساعات. ما هي حقوقي في هذه الحالة؟!!

The possibility to leave the UAE while a a credit card loan is not paid
Q: Hi, I am living in the UAE. I am an Indian national. I have a credit card. I do not have any loan and I also do not have any EMI to pay but I have 25000 AED due to pay for my credit card. Now I got a job in Saudi Arabia and I am unable to pay all money at once. I never miss any monthly mini. payment. When my company transfers my final salary and end-of-service benefits to my bank, will the bank freeze my bank account and file a case that I have pending 25000 AED, and will the police stop me at the airport? Also, can I leave the UAE without paying the due amount, and without informing the bank? Will it create any issue at the airport while leaving to India on the final exit?
