Recent bounced cheque sanctions as ordered by Dubai Attorney General

Q: Hi Sir, "Under a new criminal order issued by the Dubai Attorney General Essam Al Humaidan, a range of minor offences – including bouncing cheques and failing to pay rent – will no longer be put through the court system and instead be treated as a misdemeanour subject to a financial penalty. The new ruling, which will come into effect in December, means those responsible for bounced cheques of up to Dh50,000 will be fined Dh2,000, while those who bounce cheques of between Dh50,000 and Dh100,000 must pay a Dh5,000 fine, with a Dh10,000 fine for cheques between Dh100,000 and Dh200,000". I have seen this new rule and I would like to know if this already started and if I already have a criminal case how can I pay the fine?

Q: Hello, I travelled to Iran few times in the past couple of years and I got with me small amounts of Iranian products to sell in my country like saffron, caviar and honey. I am willing to get more stuff on my next visit, and I am wondering what`s the maximum amount of cash money I can bring in with me at the airport. I mean is 25000 $ allowed or not? Seeking divorce in a UAE marriage after leaving to home countries

Q: My husband and I married in Dubai and we separated 4 years ago. He is a British citizen who left the UAE for good, and I am from Uzbekistan also left to my home country for good. Now, I want to divorce and wanted to know if I can file the case in my home country or it must be in Dubai (I can’t just travel to Dubai for divorce). Q: Hi. I am an owner of a studio. My tenant informed me about some floor tiles breakage. So, with his suggestion and consent, I decided to get the whole floor retiled. Legal rights of the employee for termination during probation

Q: Dear Madam, I have an unlimited contract with the employer and I have not completed the 6-month probation period. The company gave me a termination letter without any warning letter before. 1. If I get a job in some other company, will I get a labour ban or not? Some people told me even if you have an unlimited contract, but your company terminated you under probation period. I must have completed 1 year to avoid the ban. Please advise me, what do I do? 2. The company gave me termination letter one day before my completion of the 6-month probation period. My question is that I joined the company on 27 August 2017 and the company gave me the termination letter on 26 February 2018, but if I count the days then it is 184 days, while 6 month means 180 days. Please advise? 3. If 184 days are considered 6 months what are my rights? Can I demand the company to pay my settlement, air tickets and half year leave salary... etc? The HR told me that under probation, the company do not pay me any benefits like back home tickets, gratuity...etc.

How to change the local partner upon the request of a set up LLC buyer

Q: Can a 30-day notice be served to the tenant to pay outstanding rent via email in case the landlord is not in the UAE, or does it have to be in a prescribed format typed and attested by the notary?

حالة الشركة بعد وفاة شريك ورفض أحد ورثته تجديد عقدها

س: السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته والدي رحمه الله كان شريك في شركة ومدة الشراكة محددة في عقد التأسيس. توفي والدي وبعدها بسنه انتهت مدة الشراكة. حالياً أحد الورثة يرفض الدخول في شراكة مرة أخرى ويطلب نصيبه، وفِي نفس الوقت رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة يطلب منا تحديد وكيل عن الورثة لكي يجددوا رخصة الشركة. لكن هذا الإجراء يحتاج الي اتفاق جميع الورثة لعمل وكالة لشخص وهناك شخص واحد رافض من الورثة. فما الحل؟؟؟ رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة يهدد برفع دعوى في المحكمة بسبب تعطيل إجراءات الشراكة والتسبب بخسارة الشركة. أرجو من المستشارين إبداء الرأي في هذا الشأن.

Q: I am planning to travel to Iran for a visit, and a friend of mine who is Iranian will host me. He will be arranging my visa as I am from Latvia, and I have to send him a copy of my passport.
