Divorce by mutual consent and the applicable law
Q: Hello, I am an Indian Hindu expat residing in the UAE since 2009-12 & 2013 till date and married since 2009. I hold an employment visa and not dependent on my husband. I have been living separately from him since March 2018 to date and we both mutually want to divorce due to compatibility issues. We do not have children, assets or bank accounts or any liability as a couple. Please advise if we are to acquire a divorce in the UAE, will it be legit in our home country India? Are we to request for Indian Hindu laws/procedures for the divorce here?

Clearing a criminal case for bounced cheque to obtain a PCC
Q: I have a current police case in Dubai due to a bounced security cheque of AED 30,000 from ENBD for my credit card. I am outside the country and I just applied for the Canadian immigration. Settlement for credit card overdue to avoid legal action
Q: I have a Najm credit card, I used to do a minimum payment every month. I am working for a company for the past 2 years. I am not getting salary on time I used to get salary after every 2 or 3 months. I did them a minimum payment but late by arranging for one or another. I came to know that there is a final settlement for the credit card where you can pay a fixed amount every month. I requested them for the past 6 months but they didn`t help me. Also, I came to know that they have put my salary of 11500 but I am getting a salary of 5000/-. Every month they are torturing me, for that can you help me with this. They also say they will deposit my security cheque and file a police complaint. This time when I went to meet one of the people for Najm card, I told him about my situation but they are not ready to listen. He gave me two options, either to pay 18500/- in one stroke or 20500/- in 2 instalments

Obtaining a UAE police clearance certificate for immigration
Q: Hi Nikhat, I am applying for a New Zealand residency and need a Dubai Police Clearance Certificate for my stay in Dubai from 2006 to 2009. I had applied for a credit card in the year 2009 and had never used it, but I assume due to some annual fees there was some outstanding amount. How do I get this sorted to get a PCC? Also, I do not have an Emirates ID and have taken a fingerprint card from New Zealand attested by the UAE embassy. Please guide me or give me the contact details of anyone who can help me.

Eviction of the tenant for failing to pay the rent
Q: I have rented an apartment to a Saudi national in Dubai with 4 cheques. My tenant`s third cheque has bounced which was due on 20th November, and after repeated phone calls/messages and emails, he is unable to pay. He always asks for a few more days and then disappears. Currently, he is residing in Saudi and claims he cannot travel because of sickness. Consequences of failing to return to work after an emergency leave
Q: I was working in one company which is in Hamriyah Free Zone. My visa is stamped on 10 June 2018. I went on emergency leave on 12 Oct, and since then I have not returned to work. Q: Hi. My wife has a travel ban due to the non-payment of a loan. She is sponsored by me and her visa is valid until the end of January 2019.
