Lifting a travel ban resulted from absconding

Q: Dear sir, I was working in Dubai and, for personal reasons, I left Dubai without cancelling my residence visa. My employer blacklisted me in the immigration department because of absconding so I believe I have a lifetime ban. In this situation, what options do I have to remove this ban? And if my employer refused to lift the ban, what other options I have? Can I ask for help from the Ministry of Interior? Or can I pay a penalty? Please advise me! Thanks

The right to terminate the SPA and recover the paid amount

Q: I have purchased a studio unit from a developer in Oct 2015. To date, I have made 8 payments (total: AED 305.000) plus Oqood (30.000). The developer destroyed my SPA without my knowledge (the excuse was that I didn`t collect it but I have requested it on multiple occasions). Currently, the project has been delayed for nearly 2 years. Initially, the handover was Q2, 2018 and now it`s expected Q4, 2020 (not sure if that`s possible as currently, it`s only at 70.56 complete). Can I cancel my contract and get my money back since I have no contract in place? They are keen to set up a new contract and get me to sign one.

س: السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته، بداية أشكر لكم جهودكم! أنا سيدة تعاقدت مع مكتب استشاري على تشييد منزل سكني بإمارة دبي وللأسف لم ينهِ المقاول المشروع حسب المدة المحددة بالعقد وتوجد عيوب في تنفيذ أعمال الطابوق والخرسانات حسب التقرير الفني من بلدية دبي. كما أن المخططات المعتمدة من قبلي لا تتوافق مع الواقع في المشروع. وبمراجعة مكتب الاستشاري، لم يعترف بما ذكرته وإنما يلقي اللوم عليّ للهروب من المسؤولية ودفاعًا عن المقاول مع العلم أن نسبة إنجاز المشروع ٣٥ بالمائة فقط وقد سددت مبلغ يعادل ٥٠ بالمائة من قيمة العقد. أرجو منكم توجيهي في مثل هذه الحالات. جزاكم الله خيرًا!

Legal action against the husband for abandoning wife and child

Q: I am a resident of Dubai. I want to ask about my husband who brought me from Dubai along with my 3-year-old son by fraud to spend a vacation in Pakistan in Dec 2019. He forcefully took over child passport and other documents of UAE visa and left us alone in Pakistan and runaway back to UAE. I am on an employment visa and my son is under his father`s visa. I need to come back, but my husband is keeping the passport in Dubai with him and he is not ready to give it back to me. I am stuck in Pakistan as I need to bring my son to UAE. Now he threatens that he misplaced all my personal belongings; my gold, jewellery and important documents in my absence from home in Dubai. He wants to divorce me in Pakistan; that`s why he is forcing me to stay in Pakistan so I cannot file a maintenance and child care claim in Dubai. If I come back to Dubai, can I get help to get my son`s passport from him in order to bring him to the UAE because the child can`t live without his mother?

Selling a share in a business without knowing its value

Q: I started a business with a partner (50/50 shares) who is managing the business, supported by my contributions to marketing and operations. After 1 year of business, I`m still not getting clarity concerning the collections and payments, etc. Money is often collected by my partner in cash mode instead of the bank. My partner keeps saying stay away from this and just focus on marketing and operation. Now I have decided to quit this business, but since there is no proper account, I`m not sure how much I should sell my 50% shares for.
