What can the employer do if the newly hired employees refuse to work?

Q: We have a Delivery Service Company. We hired candidates from India and brought them here. We paid for their license. After getting their license, they didn`t want to work. Can we claim all the amount that we spent on them?

Q: Dear Sir/Madam, I have completed the execution stage of the labor case against my previous employer for not paying my settlements, leave salary and other allowances. The company license is blocked, request to arrest the manager was submitted and approved by the court 2 months back. But to date, I haven`t received any amount. The company is still working and they have projects running in Dubai. Kindly advise me on what to do next. The case was submitted in the year 2020 April and taken a long time.

Does the salary increase apply to pending leave salary from previous year?

Q: Dear Sir, I have a question about leave salary. I have completed 2 successful years in a company in Abu Dhabi, my salary was 5000 (Including Basic & Housing Allowance) in the first year and I got 1000 as an increment in the second year. So when I completed my 2nd year my salary is 6000. Now I need to request my two months` Leave Salary. Kindly advise me how much I am able to receive, 11000 or 12000.

What is the procedure for leaving work without notice in case of salary non-payment?

Q: I am a GCC national working for a private company in Dubai. I am employed under an unlimited GCC employment contract. I have not been paid my salary for the month of September. Consequences of resigning during probation without giving a notice

Q: Hello, I seek your advice here to understand 3 scenarios as follows : a) What happens when an employee who is on an unlimited contract resigns during his probation period? In such a case, would he need to serve a notice period to his employer or would it be immediate? b) In a case as mentioned above, if the employee decides to leave within his probation period, can the employer demand to get back the visa cost from him during his clearance and cancellation? c) Based on this case, can the employer put a labor ban on the employee due to his sudden departure during probation? How to extend the duration of visa upon termination while the employer refuses?

Q: I have been terminated from an unlimited contract in a company at ADGM. The company is paying me 3 months` notice pay as per my contract and not giving me the option to work during the notice period. They want to cancel my employment and residence visa on the termination date and not the last date of the notice period, as my last working day will be the termination date. I need my visa to be kept open till at least the notice period end date but not sure what is the law on this.

Q: My partner and I are now residents of the UK but while we were in the UAE, there was a company-to-company deal signed with a client. In between the completion of the contract, our company was transferred to someone else in the UAE. This person continued to honor the contract with the client. But now the client is pursuing a personal legal case of misrepresentation in the UK against us, saying we misrepresented facts to their employee and got them to sign the contract. We are mentally & monetarily being harassed by the client. My questions are: What kind of counteraction in the UAE could we take against them for threatening us with legal proceedings and harassing us without any legal reasons and despite the contract not having any clauses against which we did the deal? Also, is there mental harassment recognized in the UAE courts?

Liability of the guarantor if the person who took a bank loan stops paying

Q: Please help me. I signed as a guarantor for my friend in her bank loan and they asked me for a security cheque. My friend was on a partner visa and now she is cancelled and cannot pay anymore. I gave my cheque already to the bank and signed as guarantor. Is it possible that the bank can give me a case if my cheque is zero? My friend is still here on a visit visa now.
