Extending the tenancy contract for one month after the eviction date
Q: Hi, I purchased an apartment and at that time, it was already occupied by a tenant. Since I bought it for me for personal use, as per the law, I gave 12 months-eviction notice by the notary public. His eviction date is the 30th of Jan 2023. He informed me a day back that he has finalized another apartment but can only move on 20th March 2023 as that apartment will be vacated on 20th March, and is asking for 1 month and 20 days extension. Now my questions are: 1. What is the legal way to extend the current contract for just 1 month and 20 days? 2. Should I sign a new contract for 1 month and 20 days? 3. Now the most important question is if I sign a short-term contract just for 1 month and 20 days, does it nullify the Dubai court`s eviction notice?

Q: Sir, I have got an offer letter from a Dubai firm. I need to sign, scan and send it back to them as an acceptance immediately. How to follow a civil execution case against a company after brother's death?
Q: We are Hindu. My brother expired in the UAE recently. A) My brother had registered a civil execution case in Dubai courts. I have applied for a succession certificate. Is this sufficient for me to register my name in the execution court as the person who will make petitions and collect any payments that the debtor makes? Or do I have to mention this existing lawsuit in the inheritance file? B) A company had issued an acknowledgment of debt in the name of my brother, but they refuse to pay. What steps do I need to take at family court for the inheritance so that I can, later on, start a commercial lawsuit to collect the debts that the company owes to my deceased brother? Do I need a letter from the family court that allows me to start a commercial case on behalf of my deceased brother? Thank you!

Q: Dear sir/madam, I checked the system for criminal cases and there are the following details: - Case status: Dispositioned. - Level: First instance. - Panel: 2nd panel. - Session status: Completed. - Judgment date: 25/06/2019. - Judgment type: Fine. - Fine fees: 35k AED. - Charge: Issued cheque in bad faith. I took a loan from a bank and missed payments. How to make them accept settlement?
Q: Hello, I took a loan (60k) from a Bank in 2019 before Covid and was repaying until we were laid off from work due to Covid effects. I wrote to the bank and informed them about it but continued repaying until mid-2021. A few weeks back, I called the Bank and requested a settlement plan. I also informed them of my intention to return to Dubai. They told me "they filed a case and if I want them to withdraw the case I should pay all the outstanding balance". I offered to pay 80% and the balance later on condition that they withdraw the case. They refused. What does the law say about it? Thanks for your help.

What are the legal consequences of resigning and starting a company in the same field?
Q: Hello, I have a question regarding the non-compete clause. Do note that this non-compete clause was only mentioned in the offer letter and not in the labor contract. The current situation is I am looking to start my own training consultancy. The nature of the business is to partner with companies that provide e-learning products, I will then consult with HR leaders in companies and advise and sell that e-learning software to them. The previous organization that I worked for was not a consultancy but rather had its own e-learning software that is being sold in the market. However do note that the contract I signed with them was released by their company in New Jersey, USA, as they do not have an office in the UAE. However, my visa was issued by their partner company, whom I had to sign a labor contract with as well as an offer letter that did not have a non-compete clause.
