Q: Sir, my husband bought a house in Dubailand on December 10th 2015. He had paid half of the total amount rest he had taken a loan from Noor Bank. But very unfortunately he was diagnosed with cancer from 2016 February. He has been undergoing treatment since then. But he has been paying the bank EMI every month. But the treatment for his cancer did not work and he passed away on April 2017. We informed Bank. My husband has made insurance (Takaful) while buying this property. I have also informed about the bank about this. But they are asking for 6 months bank details of husbands which is not possible for me to give. Now what is the option left in front of me, Sir? Q: Good Day, Please, could you advise if as per the current UAE regulations in Dubai, is an Employer obliged to provide a Dubai Health Authority compliant health insurance to those employees in the company, who are holding ONLY work permits (labour cards) with the Employer? Q: A couple of years ago, I rented a space in a warehouse (not the whole warehouse) to place my business items. However, the warehouse was hit by floods in Jan 2020 and my items were fully damaged. Since then, they keep saying that they are not responsible but, 'by luck', they did have an insurance policy that is willing to cover 1/3 of the cost of the goods. I don't have a signed contract with them, but I do have the original quote and the monthly invoices that they sent. The original quote also mentions insurance in case of total damage, which was actually one of the reasons I decided to go ahead with them. I have talked with a couple of lawyers on the phone but they all said exactly opposite things, which I believe that this is because they probably have never dealt with a similar case, so I hope I can find someone who actually knows what the law says and can support accordingly. I don't mind starting a court case, but I need to know if the commercial law is on my side and that they are fully liable.

Q: Dear Sir/Madam, My property in Dubai was damaged due to floods and is now mostly uninhabitable. The property management/builder is not taking any steps to rectify the situation. Much of the damage occurred because a water pump in the nearby lake (part of the community) failed. If it had not failed, much less water would have entered the property. Who can I raise a dispute with to ensure the builder repairs the property and compensates me for the damage?
