Q: I am a partner in an LLC registered in Dubai, whose license was expired in Nov 2017. I was a passive investor stationed in India and the company was managed my senior partner and MD (Managing director) of the company who was stationed in Dubai. The provisions of this Federal Decree-Law No. (32) of 2021 on Commercial Companies governs commercial companies in the United Arab Emirates. The New Commercial Companies Code repeals the previous UAE Commercial Companies Code (Federal Law No. (2) of 2015 on Commercial Companies).

By this Decree Ministry of Labour of the UAE has removed the six-month labour ban for those who changed the job before completing two years of service. Labour ban will be still applicable for workers that qualify for skill level 4 and 5 under various circumstances.
