Submitting a mercy petition to the Ajman court that ordered deportation after one in Abu Dhabi

Wa Alaikum Assalam, dear lawyers,

I have already submitted a mercy petition to the Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution, and I want to know whether we can submit a mercy petition to the same competent court that issued the deportation order in Ajman in 2013 as well.

Thank you!

Dear Client,

Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.

Yes, you can submit a mercy petition to the same competent court in Ajman that issued your deportation order in 2013, in addition to the one you've already submitted in Abu Dhabi.

You can file mercy petitions with different relevant authorities, including the court that originally issued the deportation order.

Prepare a well-structured petition along with supporting documents such as your passport copy, residency permit (if applicable), the original deportation order, and any evidence of changed circumstances or good conduct since 2013.

Visit the Ajman court or the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Ajman to inquire about their specific submission process.

Consider seeking help from a legal professional experienced in UAE immigration law to strengthen your case.

Keep in mind that the acceptance of a mercy petition depends on various factors and there's no guarantee of approval, so stay patient and follow up regularly on the status of your applications.

For any further clarifications or additional support, you can contact us via WhatsApp. We are dedicated to providing professional, timely, and comprehensive assistance tailored to your specific situation.

Thank you!

Wa Alaikum Assalam,

Thank you for your inquiry!

In the UAE, a mercy petition (also known as a clemency request) is typically submitted to the Public Prosecution or the competent court depending on the nature of the case.

However, it is important to note that if you have already submitted a mercy petition to the Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution, you would generally need to follow the same legal process through the same court or authority that has jurisdiction over your case.

Can You Submit a Mercy Petition to the Same Court in Ajman?

If your deportation order was issued by a court in Ajman in 2013, you may have the option to submit a mercy petition to that same competent court.

The authority to handle such petitions may still lie with the Ajman court (since it was the court that issued the deportation order).

However, petitions are typically handled by the court that issued the ruling or by the Public Prosecution if they are involved in the case.

Steps to Take:

If you have already submitted the mercy petition to the Abu Dhabi Public Prosecution, they may forward it to the competent court that handled your case.

You can also submit a new petition directly to the Ajman court if you believe it is appropriate to do so.

It's advisable to consult with a local lawyer who is familiar with your specific case details and jurisdiction to ensure you are following the correct legal procedure.

Conclusion:

While it is typically handled by the authority or court that issued the original ruling (in this case, the Ajman court), you may be able to submit your petition there.

It is important to follow up with the relevant authorities, such as the Public Prosecution or Ajman court, to ensure your petition is submitted properly.

Please feel free to contact me if you need further guidance or help with your case.
