Company not providing work or canceling my visa for months. What to do?

If you are facing a problem with your visa cancellation due to the company’s lack of cooperation, you can take the following steps to resolve the issue:
- Contact the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE):
File an official complaint against the company via the ministry’s website or through the smart application (MOHRE UAE). You can also visit one of the “Tas’heel” or “Tadbeer” centers near you to file a complaint.
The issue will be investigated, and the company will be informed of the need to take the required action.
- Contact the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security:
If the visa is still valid, you can submit a request to the authority to report the issue and request cancellation. Visit the nearest authority center or use their online platform to submit the request.
- Request to cancel the visa without the company’s consent:
If the company is not cooperating, you can submit a request to cancel the visa unilaterally. Officials will check the situation and cancel the visa if the company is found to be uncooperative.
Greetings,
According to UAE labor law, an employer is responsible for canceling an employee's visa within 30 days of the termination of their employment contract.
If the employer fails to do so, they may face penalties and fines. In your situation, it is important to first try to resolve the issue with your employer directly.
You can request for them to cancel your visa and provide a valid reason for the delay. If they refuse to do so, you can file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MOHRE) or the relevant free zone authority
