Can I pass in the UAE transit area if I left Dubai without proper visa cancellation?

Good afternoon,

I hold a valid UAE employee visa (issued in Dubai). I have not been to the UAE for over 6 months.

I am currently attempting to cancel the visa through MOHRE, as the owner of the company has left the country and has not been responsive. Additionally, the trade license has expired.

Is it possible for me to be in transit in the UAE, specifically within the airport's transit zone?

Can I seek employment in Qatar before my UAE visa is canceled?

I prefer to avoid unnecessary expenditures of time and money and can't be more unemployed.

Thank you.

Hello,

Yes, you can be in transit in the UAE, specifically within the airport's transit zone, even if your visa has expired.

This is because the transit area is considered international territory and does not fall under the jurisdiction of UAE immigration authorities.

Qatar has its own visa and work permit requirements, which you'll need to meet. You can contact the Qatari embassy or consulate in your country for more information.
