Had syphilis years ago, now have a scar. Will this affect my Emirates ID approval?

Hello Sir/Madam,

I have a question. I had syphilis in my early 20s, and now, at 40 years old, I went for a medical check-up when coming to the UAE. It was found that I have a syphilis scar.

Will this hinder me from getting an Emirates ID if I go for the medical?

Dear Questioner,

Because of this disease, the ban cannot be lifted. It prevents people from entering the country again.

Good luck, my brother!

Dear Questioner,

Syphilis is typically not a focus of the medical examination for obtaining a UAE residency visa. The primary concerns are TB, HIV, and hepatitis B and C (depending on the job).

If you had syphilis in the past and it was successfully treated, it should not be an issue during your medical examination.

Greetings,

You can obtain a medical report approved by a specialist stating that you have recovered and then submit a mercy request to the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship accompanied by the medical report so that your request can be considered and you are allowed to reside.

We are honored to help you formulate the mercy request in Arabic and provide you with legal support.

For further inquiries about your topic, you can come to our office or contact us via WhatsApp, phone, or email.
