Dear Questioner,

The employer must give the worker, upon his request and at the end of his contract, an end-of-service certificate granted without charge, stating the date he entered service, the date he left it, the total period of his service, the type of work he was performing, the last wage he was receiving, and his supplements, if any.

He must also return to him what he may have certificates, papers, and tools.

You can file a complaint against him through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation website.

If your employer in the UAE is not providing you with an experience letter, you have a few options to resolve this issue.

According to UAE labor law, employers are required to provide an experience certificate upon the employee's request, once the employment contract has ended.

This certificate should include details such as the dates of employment and the termination or expiration date of the contract.

If your employer refuses to provide this certificate, the first step you can take is to request it formally. If your request is denied, you have the right to file a complaint with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE).

MOHRE will then examine the complaint and attempt to resolve it amicably. If an amicable settlement is not possible, the matter may be referred to the judiciary.

You can file a labor complaint via MOHRE even without the assistance of a lawyer. Ensure to keep all relevant documents and communications to support your case.

Yes, you can file a legal complaint regarding your employer not providing an experience letter in the UAE.

According to UAE Labour Law, an employer is obligated to provide an employee with an experience certificate upon termination of the employment contract.

If he is not willing, you can file a complaint with MOHRE.
