Q: Dear Sir, Madam, I have a question in relation to the DHA mandatory health insurance cover that has come into effect. I am the owner of a Dubai-based FZ company and have my residence visa through an employment contract with this company. The health insurance that I do have is DHA approved, but was requested and issued under my own personal name - and is therefore not linked to the company in any way. Is that a problem? Does the mandatory health insurance have to be requested by, and issued to the company? Thanks.

Q: I would appreciate your legal advice on the below scenario: I gave birth in a hospital on May 16. At the time of discharge, they did not ask us to pay anything and said it was covered by insurance. After more than a month, they called us saying they made a mistake and only half of the bill was covered and asking us to pay the balance. Are we still bound/liable to pay after discharge?

Q: Good Day, Please, could you advise if as per the current UAE regulations in Dubai, is an Employer obliged to provide a Dubai Health Authority compliant health insurance to those employees in the company, who are holding ONLY work permits (labour cards) with the Employer?
