I have a jointly owned property in Abu Dhabi. The mortgage was defaulted on as I had to leave the property with my children following an assault by my ex-husband. He failed to pay December 2020, January 2021 and February 2021. Since then he has been avoiding us, and only when we keep pressuring him, he pays small amounts, which are not equal to the monthly installments agreed upon.
