How long will it take to cancel my visa after resigning to join a new employer?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I worked in a company for the past 22 months. Now, I've received an offer letter from another company, so I gave a one-month notice period and resigned.

My questions are:

How long will it take to cancel my visa? How much gratuity will I receive? Can I claim money for a return ticket?

Additionally, I worked full 10-hour shifts during Ramadan and public holidays, so how much should they pay me for that?

Hello,

Cancelling your UAE visa typically takes 1-2 working days depending on your employer's initiation.

Gratuity is calculated according to your basic salary.

Review your contract for a ticket clause, and since you worked overtime, you are entitled to be paid for it.

You will get the gratuity as per your basic salary.

Ask them to make calculations as per UAE labor law.

Please contact our senior legal consultant Mr. Muhammad Abdullah for further details.

Dear Inquirer,

We are pleased to serve you and address your inquiries.

You must communicate with the Ministry of Emiratisation and Human Resources (Labor and Workers) in light of the provisions of your employment contract, and the availability of evidence to determine the entitlements.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

1) It will generally take 3 working days for your visa to be canceled.

2) Your gratuity pay is dependent on your contract. Your contract should have provisions dealing with this.

3) Your return ticket claim also remains the same as mentioned above.

4) This will be subject to negotiation. We believe this would normally be considered overtime.

If you have any more questions or need any more help, do not hesitate to contact us through WhatsApp.
