About to remarry without informing first wife. Any problems?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am about to get married for the second time, but it is my first marriage in Dubai.

I have not informed my first wife about it, nor have I disclosed it to the marriage official regarding my first wife or child in India.

Is there an issue?

Dear questioner,

If you are conducting a Sharia marriage (Muslim marriage) in the UAE, then it is legal to conduct a second marriage for men with or without the consent of the first wife.

There is no problem in disclosing the marital status before the authority for the second marriage.

If you are going to have a civil marriage (Non- Muslim marriage), then you cannot validate the new marriage without divorcing the previous spouse.

If you are a Muslim, there is no problem in Dubai. The issue may be in your country.
