Questions & Answers
If the landlord rejects the new terms and deposit cheques, what's next?
Hi,
If the landlord is not satisfied with the new terms of the contract and doesn't sign it, rejects the RDC security deposit cheques, what's next?
Dear Inquirer,
We are delighted to assist you with your inquiries!
If the landlord declines to renew the contract under the previous terms, you have the option to seek resolution through the Rental Dispute Center.
You can submit a request for a rent offer and deposit and obtain a certificate from the center to present to the landlord.
By following this process, the landlord may agree or choose to take legal action against you.
For further assistance, please reach out to us via email or by calling our Dubai office or our Sharjah office.

Dear Questioner,
Even if the landlord didn't accept the cheque from RDC, you have to get the tenancy contract renewed before the landlord files a case against you for immediate eviction due to non-payment of rent.
So it will be better if you file a case against him in RDC for the renewal with the new terms.
We can provide you with the services as well.
