Questions & Answers
My contract expired and my employer insists to send me home. Can I stay in the UAE and find another job?
Dear Sir/Madam,
I'm a nanny here in Abu Dhabi. I'm working for a local employer. I will finish my contract of 10 years this coming June.
I requested to my employer my cancellation paper because I want to work another job but my employers don't want me to cancel. They want to send me back to my country.
What should I do?
Hope someone can advise me here.
Thank you
Hence you already finished your contract term, so you don't have any obligation to work with them.
You can get your visa canceled without their confirmation with MOHRE. All you have to do is approach MOHRE and explain the situation and your willingness to work in another job.
They will do the proceedings to cancel your visa.
Greetings
Upon your 10-year contract ending in June, you have the right to leave your UAE nanny job, regardless of your employer's preference.
Review your contract's termination clause and consider consulting a lawyer for specific guidance. Remember, UAE law protects your right to end employment upon contract completion.
