Recovering a deposit from an online car rental when they are unresponsive
Dear Sir/Madam,
I rented a car online for 3 months, and I paid the security deposit. After the 3 months, the car was collected without any issues.
However, I have been unsuccessful in obtaining my deposit since then. The address on the delivery papers is incorrect, and they are not answering calls.
What should I do?

Dear Questioner,
You can file a complaint with the Department of Economic Development or the Consumer Protection Department.
Dear Questioner,
Try to contact them where the car was delivered. If not possible, contact them through the mail or number given on the online platform used for rent.
If all the alternative methods to contact them fail, you can move legally by approaching the consumer protection department.

Dear Questioner,
If you have details about the online company, you can file a complaint with the consumer department in the DED of the relevant Emirate or initiate a civil case against them.
If you need further details, please share your WhatsApp number.
Dear Client,
Thanks for your question! I hope you are doing well. I will assist you in this matter.
You should first try to reach out to the car rental company through email or other contact information you may have.
If you are unable to get a response or a resolution from the company, consider contacting the Consumer Protection Department, to file a complaint and seek assistance in resolving the issue.
