How to protect myself from being scammed again when withdrawing a criminal case?
Dear Sir/Madam,
I want to understand the process of withdrawing a criminal case. I had filed a criminal case against a person (for scamming and impersonating a different identity) with the police.
Now, the defendant's family wants me to withdraw the case and claims that they will repay all the losses incurred. Should I:
1. Take them with me to the police station where I filed my case and sign a document.
2. Tell them to hire a lawyer from their side and clarify how the payment will be made.
3. Is there any other way to resolve this matter easily?
I also want to know what exactly should be written in the document.
I don't want to get scammed again, so I would appreciate your advice.
