Resigning during probation in a limited contract
I am on a limited contract and in the probation period. My UAE offer letter says one thing, and the company contract another, including that where there is any discrepancy, the UAE law will prevail.
I want to resign within the probation period, giving as little notice as possible, as I don't trust my employer. I don't care about a ban, but I don't want to be liable for any costs incurred.
What is your advice?
Thank you.

Dear Questioner,
With reference to your inquiry, kindly be informed that the later ALWAYS supersedes the earlier (the subsequent cancels the former & replaces it).
In that case, you need to forget about the offer letter. If your contract is stipulating upon a specific notice period, then you shall fulfil it.
If not, then the notice period shall be only 1 month as per the UAE Federal Labor Law. This is on one hand.
On the other hand, you have to be aware of the fact that you need to pay the employer half your salary for 3 months or for the remaining period of the contract (whichever is shorter).
At last, it is utterly illegal to pay the employer any payments other than the one mentioned above, e.g. no visa costs or so.
For any further assistance, kindly contact me.
Kind regards,
