What happens after being found innocent in an initial judgment?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I was found innocent in the judgment of my case on 16-05-2023. However, the public prosecution appealed the case on 25-04-2023. I need advice on:

1) What can be the new judgment, or what normally happens after an appeal?

2) How much time does it take to complete this process?

3) How can I get a clearance certificate?

Dear Questioner,

You should respond to the prosecution appeal and defend yourself on the day of the appeal court hearing.

If you do not defend yourself, the court of appeal may convict you again, according to what was stated in the prosecution’s appeal.

Hi,

Since it is a court process, it takes time.

And regarding judgment, it is the judge's discretion and depends upon your case's gravity.

Dear Questioner,

There is an error in your question; the appeal is after the initial judgment, not before.

Hi

Pursuant to your query, the plaintiff has the right to appeal in case there is a reason for filing an appeal.

The time period of the same can be in accordance to the dates provided by the court and the number of hearings.

You will be able to get the clearance certificate only when the case is closed.
