Seeking refund for a misleading hotel booking
Sir,
I booked a room in Hotel Armani through Agoda.com.
They offered 2 adults and two children 0-11, but the hotel did not allow my children who are 7 & 11 years old.
I want refund, please advise.
Dear questioner,
You should file a complaint against the travel agent that you used to book your hotel.
I advise you to check where the travel agent is registered and direct your complaint to their registration authority.
For example: if they are registered in the UAE through the department of tourism and department of economic development, you should direct your complaint to the consumer protection dept. of the department of economic development and also to the Ministry of Tourism in Dubai.
Both entities may take up your complaint as the regulatory authority for the travel agency.
Both have the authority to impose fines on the travel agency when they fail to serve you as per the regulations or in any fraudulent manner.
