Can the landlord cut off all house utilities and threaten the tenant of throwing him out?
Hello,
My landlord disconnected the water and electricity for the 4th time this week because my signature didn't match the cheque. What I can I do?
And he is threatening me now if I will not pay until tomorrow by cash he will change the locks and he will deport me.

Dear T.,
Good day!
Kindly note that, as per RERA laws and regulations, a landlord is not supposed to disconnect the electricity even if you delayed or missed a rental payment. Such disconnection may be sued (both criminal and civil).
We can assist you promptly in this matter. Please let us know whether any cheque(s) have been dishonored.
Kindly share further details with us by phone or email.
Best regards.
The lessor (landlord) may not cut off the basic services (utilities) of water, electricity, and air conditioning from the tenant under any circumstances, even if this circumstance is a delay in the payment of rent.
