Removing a deportation order for possession of drugs
38
Q: Hi,
My fiance was arrested due to drug possession.
The prosecutor in Dubai dropped the charges and ordered deportation after 30 days being in jail, so he doesn't have an order for deportation from the court as he didn't go to the court.
What are the chances for him to get back to the UAE as he has a good job offer and what is the procedure to do that?
Thank you

Imprisonment suspended, but police mention a 3-month term! What now?

2
Q: Dear Experts,
Two days ago, my cousin was detained with the intention of being transferred to Al Awir for imprisonment and deportation. Following his last appeal, the court suspended his imprisonment, but only a deportation order was issued.
However, when I visited the police station yesterday, they informed me that he has been given a 3-month jail term!
I contacted the public prosecution, and they stated that the case is closed following the second appeal for deportation without imprisonment. Currently, he is in Al Awir jail.
What happens next? His wife and kids are very worried. Can someone help me to assist in getting him back to the country?

Deportation due to a misdemeanor: what is the process?

1
Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
My friend is facing deportation due to a minor criminal case, specifically a misdemeanor resulting in a one-month jail sentence and deportation.
Can you explain the deportation process and how long it will take? Does he need to have his passport with him?
Is he required to pay for his ticket? Additionally, can he travel to a country outside of the Middle East?
I hope you can provide answers to these questions.
Also, is there an option for him to make an appeal after the public prosecution has denied his online request for an appeal six times?

Q: Hi,
Is it possible to request the deportation to be canceled if one still has a civil case pending, so the deportation is complicating things and not making it flexible to try and clear the civil case?

What can I do if the judge refused to allow bail in an appeal of fraud case?

0
Q: In the hearing recently, the judge said "The appellants appeared in person - remote trial and did not surrender themselves for execution for their presence in the courtroom" on the next hearing date.
He did not give Kafala (bail) while I appeared online. The court is the Appeal Court of Ajman. The last judgment is 2 years jail sentence and deportation with a big fine for a fraud case.
What will happen now in the next hearing?

How to guarantee my right in accrued leave days or payment 0
Dear Sir,
My contract is a fulltime employee for a company in the UAE, and my leave entitlement state 10 weeks work and 2 weeks off.
However, due to the COVID-19, I have been unable to take that leave and have accrued two months leave or 61 days with four flight tickets.
My question is, can my company legally cancel those accrued days at the start of the new year or would they have to pay me for those days?

How to guarantee labour rights before signing the cancellation paper 0
Good morning All,
I was terminated by my company in March 2020 for not signing the unpaid leave document given to me. I was terminated on 23rd March 2020.
Once termination letter was signed, ever since then, I have been chasing my ex-company for releasing the final settlement and each time they come up with a different plan.
The last option they gave was to sign an agreement with them for 6 months plan but are not giving me any guarantee cheques and insist that I sign the cancellation papers. I want to simply take my money and leave the UAE.
They have also directed me to their lawyers now who insist that any agreement signed with the company is not required to be notarized by Dubai Courts and the company is not legally bound to give me any cheques as a guarantee.
The company that I worked for is located in Dubai and is a private organisation.

Following up on a labor case after traveling to the home country 0
After working for my employer for nearly two years on an unlimited contract as a COO of a restaurant company, my employer owes me approx 193000, not including notice period.
I have filed a case with the MOHRE. They have tried to contact the employer who has ignored the calls and is also ignoring me.
I know that I will have to escalate the complaint but, based on experience with the way the employer treats past employees and how he ignores suppliers and landlords, it is fair to assume that he will ignore this as well.
I have little options and I have to leave the country as the apartment rent paid by the company expires mid-July. If I leave, can I maintain the complaint, and what is the likelihood of getting the money owed in this scenario when I travel back to the UK?
