Options for dealing with a divorce case while being abroad

Is it possible to have a divorce case and leave the country?

Do I have to stay in the UAE if the divorce is still not done?

The procedures are very slow and I cannot be in the UAE in the upcoming months.

What are the options for dealing with the divorce and the court while being abroad?

Dear inquirer,

You do not need to be in the UAE during the duration of the divorce proceedings.

You can issue a POA to a law firm to represent you in your absence.

Should you wish to discuss further, please do not hesitate to get in touch via email or phone.

Kind Regards,

Ahmed Odeh

A person can travel during the process of the divorce case but there should not be a travel ban on that person in case the person is male.

You can appoint a lawyer to represent you in the case. Personal appearance is only required in the reconciliation process.

For specific guidance, please contact me so I can guide you according to your case situation.

Please call or Whatsapp to consult further!

Hello,

Yes, you can leave the country even you still have a case pending.

But actually, to have more clear answers, you should tell us if you're a husband or wife.

And about your case, you can hire a lawyer to handle and manage it even if you're not here.
