Q: Dear Sir,
Hope you will be in the state of good health and doing fine.
My owner absconded in 2015 but my visa expired in June 2016. I filed a case before he absconded and Labor office transferred the case to court where the worthy orders of the court to do execution and pay my dues and that execution is still in process.
Labor approved me to work as part-time. Now I have a new job offer from another company and want to cancel the visa that has already been expired for one and half year.
Will I have fine or some other obstacles while cancelling my visa in order to join the new company?

Q: Good evening.
I have filed a labour case against my company for arbitrary dismissal and it is still ongoing.
Is it alright to travel to my home country or another country even while my case is ongoing?
Also, can the employer cancel my visa even while the case is ongoing?
We are in a free zone and they said the free zone authority advised that the visa can be cancelled by the company after 90 days from the time the complaint was endorsed to court. Is this correct?

I got an offer letter from a new company and I have an ongoing labor case in Dubai court.
The new employer is asking for the cancellation of the visa in order to apply for the new one.
If I take NOC from the court, how can I convince the new employer to allow me to work without a valid visa?

I got a criminal case and a travel ban due to driving without a driving license. The case is already in Dubai prosecution and the status is under investigation.
Now my question is:
Can I apply for a new visit or employment visa as my current visa is going to expire in a week?

How to cancel my visa and start new visa process if I have a pending case?

Q: The court issued a preliminary judgment to involve the expert in the reports. However, based on preliminary judgment documents I submitted my request for labor to cancel my labor card from the company.
After the process, the legal advisor from labor said, the court judgment is not final so the company has the right to refuse the cancellation, therefore, they dropped the cancellation request.
Please advise if what the labor did is correct. And how can I cancel my visa to let another company proceed with the visa?

My ID expired on August 13, 2023. I have a company that is willing to give me a sponsorship letter for work, but I am unable to get my visa processed with them because I have an ongoing court case in the Sharjah court.
Please advise on the following:
1) How can I get a legal notice for a stay in the UAE, considering my situation of the court case?
2) How can I get a notice/letter from the court so that I can work legally in any company in the UAE?
I would really appreciate a prompt reply.

Hello,
My employer fired me under Article 44 for not showing up for work for 7 days in a row. But that’s not the case at all. I was sick and the management was aware and they let me go.
I went to another country to get treatment because it’s expensive in Dubai. My employer did not pay me my salary for the month I worked and fired me.
I have official sick leave from another country and there is correspondence where my employer sent me to another country for treatment.
The problem is that the employer says that he will take compensation for the training that was specified in the contract, but I did not undergo training at all; I immediately started work from the first day of work and there was no training.
Does my employer have the right to charge me such a fee and not pay my salary?

Hi,
I have a situation where I signed an MoU and gave my security deposit to the seller's agent. However later, the bank valuation of the property is lower than the selling price.
On my MoU, it has a clause that “the buyer has a right to cancel/negotiate if the bank valuation is not the same as MoU.” I tried to negotiate, however, we didn't agree on the price so I asked to cancel.
Now the agent is threatening me that they will not cancel the MoU and that will deposit my cheque. Later I also came to know that the person I am dealing with is not the same person whose name is mentioned as a broker in the MoU.
The agent I am dealing with is constantly messaging me with threats. I decided not to speak to him and instead, I wrote an email to the broker whose name is mentioned on the MoU but received no response.
I am on a very tight timeline as I need to vacate my apartment in 3 weeks, I found another unit but I don't know if I can pursue this while the initial MoU still not canceled.
Please, I need advice.
