Q: Hi, I just want to know the procedure for liquidating the bank guarantee of an insurance broker with the Insurance Authority. The labour court awarded a judgment in favour of a broker's employees. Now, these employees applied for execution and submitted a copy of the Bank Guarantee amounting to AED 3 Million. They wish to liquidate this bank guarantee based on the amounts awarded in their respective judgments. Do you have any idea about the process? How long this will take?

Q: I have won a labour court case against my employer, however, it's over 6 months now and I am still unpaid. My previous employer changed his license and also the office, but his office is at the same location. However, he has refused to pay. I have the court order and execution, and I also have a court order to go to the Ministry of Human Resources instructing them or the bank to facilitate payment. I would like to receive my payment within the shortest time. I am willing to pay 3000 only after successfully receiving my money. Anyone can help me with this, kindly contact me.

Q: I am seeking compensation for damages from a company that used my name in fraud. I have finished the case until the appeal court and the execution court has ordered that the company assets and accounts be attached until they pay the sum required as per the judgement. The company has been closed since last year and has no more money left in the bank. If there are no more assets of the company I could go after since the company no longer exists, how else can I get justice aside from the words written on a few sheets of my case judgement paper? I've spent a lot and exerted a lot of effort seeking justice for myself, and when it is time to collect what the judge has determined what I should have, apparently there is nothing left. Is there any other legal recourse? Thanks

The provisions of this Law, known as "UAE Labour Law", govern the relationship between employers and employees and other labour matters in the United Arab Emirates. There are special labour related regulations applicable in some of the free zones in the UAE.

The law promulgates UAE Civil Procedures Code (Civil Procedure Law) which governs civil procedures in the United Arab Emirates, including the prosecution before the courts, litigation and execution.

The provisions of this Decree-Law, known as "New UAE Labor Law", govern labour relations in the private sector of the United Arab Emirates. The New Labor Law repeals the previous UAE Labor Law (Federal Law No. (8) of 1980).
