Claiming child maintenance and other rights from ex-husband
I have a 4-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son. I got divorced from my ex-husband since I was pregnant with my son and everything was okay.
I was raising them and we were okay. He was supporting us but not all the time. I was scared cause I want to raise my kids but lately, we contracted COVID and my kids had no insurance.
Actually, he didn’t help us and left us at home to die without hospitalization. Weeks later, he went to our home country and got married. A point of the story is; I am tired of being a slave to this guy.
Is there a way I can just get the money and my rights without calling him or texting him?
He keeps on ignoring and blocking me and I don’t work. It is a real struggle.

Dear questioner,
You can file a case for maintenance against your husband:
As per UAE Personal Status Law, you can apply your home country law or local law, i.e., UAE Law.
If you are willing to go with the UAE Law, then in such a case, you can claim alimony, maintenance, child maintenance, and such other costs decided by the court.
Usually, here in the UAE, the maintenance for a child may vary from AED 1,500 to AED 3,000.
Point to be noted - All of the above amounts are decided by the court, keeping in mind the husband's monthly income.
If you have a spouse residency visa, then the court may order him to provide you with accommodation in the UAE
I will suggest you visit our office, to discuss the case in detail.
