Checking the status of a labour case and counter-criminal complaint

Hi,

I work in Dubai for six months on an unlimited contract. Then suddenly my employer cut my salary by AED 1000 for the two previous months.

I filed a complaint with TASHEEL and transferred it to MOHRE. We already did face-to-face meeting but there's no conciliation. The Local transferred my case to Dubai court.

Then my employer suddenly filed a case against me for the loss of money at the company. I already filed the labour case and there is no schedule for hearing between me and the employer.

It is already 10 working days since I filed the labour case. What should I do next?

Dear Questioner,

Help me better understand, your employer filed a criminal complaint against you?

Are you worried about the complaint filed against you or because you did not receive any hearing day until now for your Labour Case?

Best regards,

Raluca Gatina.

Hi. Sorry to for the unclear information.

I don't know if it is considered as a criminal complaint. On what I heard, based on the second time we met is that they lost money of AED 10,000 because of miscommunication with a customer.

I worked there as an Admin person but different job designation like running like a monkey.

Then, she also mentioned about not receiving money on the receipt voucher which is wrongly accusing me like they don't know where is the money of 6,000 + dirhams after I filed a complaint against them.

Both of them.

Thank you.

Dear Questioner,

In this situation, I suggest you to hire a lawyer to check your criminal records in the Dubai Police, to see if they filed a criminal complaint against you.

You can go also personally to check this, but in case that there is any criminal case against you, in an advanced stage, you risk being caught.

Usually, if a criminal complaint is registered and you reside in the UAE, a police officer should contact you, to go and submit your statement - in case that they have your personal details.

Regarding the Labour case, follow up the status with the Dubai Court - Labour section or on their online system.

Best Regards,

Raluca Gatina.
