Q: My Ex-boss gave me a General POA. He personally owes me AED 300,000 and 12 months of salary as well. One fine day he left the country.
I had to file a labour case to get my visa cancelled. Later, the boss told me to take one of his cars (in his personal name) and transfer it to my name and adjust the value of it (AED 25,000) to his personal loan that he owes me.
Now, I won my labour case against him and the execution is in process. He has filed a criminal case against me claiming I took the car without his consent.
He is doing this through a lawyer as he is not in the country for a year. Will this criminal case affect me? How can I prove my innocence?

Criminal case by the employer to contest a labour case

Q: I was working in a company for around 3.5 years in Dubai in the position of Estimation Engineer. On 22-01-2019, I submitted my resignation to the company with one month period till 21-02-2019.
On 12-02-2019, the company didn't allow me to enter the office to work and they told me the company will cancel my visa and settle my outstanding within 2 days.
However, in between, I have sent an email to the company twice and called the HR but they didn't respond and they are not giving me my passport.
I have filed a labour case against the company due to not cancelling my visa and I have got the date of 7th April 19 for the labour court case.
Subsequently, the company has filed a criminal case against me for copying data from the company system. I visited the police station last week and they recorded my statement.
I want to know, can I get my visa cancellation from the labour court in the presence of the criminal case so that I can cover my ongoing loan in the UAE and family liability?

Checking the status of a labour case and counter-criminal complaint

Q: Hi,
I work in Dubai for six months on an unlimited contract. Then suddenly my employer cut my salary by AED 1000 for the two previous months.
I filed a complaint with TASHEEL and transferred it to MOHRE. We already did face-to-face meeting but there's no conciliation. The Local transferred my case to Dubai court.
Then my employer suddenly filed a case against me for the loss of money at the company. I already filed the labour case and there is no schedule for hearing between me and the employer.
It is already 10 working days since I filed the labour case. What should I do next?

Can I submit my outpass and travel tickets in advance to speed up deportation? 0
Hello Sir,
In one of your comments/answers to a query, you mentioned that if the individual does not have a valid passport, the process may take longer to obtain a travel document from their embassy.
Is it possible, before getting arrested, that I hand over the outpass and travel tickets to the police so it might be easier for them to deport me?

Can I be convicted of driving under the influence even if the alcohol test came back negative? 0
Hello,
I was driving my car when the police stopped me at one point on the road and told me that I was driving under the influence of alcohol.
I tried hard to deny that because I had not actually consumed any alcoholic beverages that day or in the previous three days.
However, a report was filed and a case was opened, but the alcohol test report came back negative. Will I be convicted despite that?
Please answer me. It is urgent.

Can we legally claim unpaid dues for food supplies based on emails and invoices? 0
Hello,
We have an agreement with a company to supply food for their buffet on a daily basis, with invoices to be issued monthly and payment to be made every three months.
The relationship actually lasted for nine months, and payment was made for two periods. In the third period, due to disagreements between our company and the company to which the supply was made, they refused to pay, noting that the outstanding amount so far is fifty-four thousand dirhams.
Can we claim the amount, noting that the agreement is not written, but there are emails exchanged between us and invoices?
