Q: Hello,
I have filed a complaint about cheque bounce. I have got 2 cheque bounce cases with 2 different parties. There is a travel ban against them as I have filed a police case, but I am not sure how to take this forward as it has been almost 4-5 months.
I need advice and guidance on how I can get my money back.

Q: PLEASE REPLY AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE
UAE
CHEQUE BOUNCE CASE (PERSONAL CHEQUE) IF AN INDIVIDUAL FILE A POLICE CASE
1) What will be the minimum jail terms for Cheque bounce case? During jail terms whether he will be on travel ban? During jail term whether he can come out of jail by giving somebody's passport as security? After completing the jail term whether he will be still on travel ban as he has not paid the money against the cheque? If he did not pay the money during police case, how can I get back the money?
2) When he is on jail terms during police case, whether we can proceed with the civil case for cheque bounce?
3) For proceeding civil case whether we have to deposit any amount to court?
Your valuable advice will be highly appreciable.
Thanks

Filing a bounced cheque case against a debtor

1
Q: Dear Sir/Madam,
Greetings for the day.
I have given AED 150,000 to a known person (who is dealing with flat lease), on his emergency situation.
He said he will pay the amount in 3 months. As a security, I took the whole amount in cheque. Apart from that, he had given 3 cheques total for AED 36000 for 3 months.
After a month he left the country and didn't come back for 6 months.
Now, its been 8 months without giving me any amount and now he is here in Dubai. So, I contacted him for the money, and he told me "I don't have money, do whatever you want".
So, I thought of going in a legal way, where I deposited all the cheques of AED 186,000 and it got bounced today.
Please guide me through the legal process, and what is the chance of getting my money back?
Now, I am seriously in a very bad situation. I am about to lose my future in the UAE because of this issue.
Please help me out.
Warm Regards,
Dinesh

Q: I had lent AED 56K to a person in Dubai. His cheque given to me has bounced for insufficient funds. If I file a police case against him, will he pay a nominal fine in the court & be free?
Actually, this way he has done many cases like that. My issue is how to recover my money from him.
Can I file a civil case against him?
What is the procedure for filing a civil case?
After filing the police complaint, the cheque will remain in the police file, then can I file a civil case without the bounced cheque?
Can I file a civil case simultaneously with the police case?
