How to recover the bounced cheque amount after filing a complaint with the police?

Hello,

I have filed a complaint about cheque bounce. I have got 2 cheque bounce cases with 2 different parties. There is a travel ban against them as I have filed a police case, but I am not sure how to take this forward as it has been almost 4-5 months.

I need advice and guidance on how I can get my money back.

CIVIL CASE

To RECOVER THE CHEQUE AMOUNT, the aggrieved party may make a civil claim for the payment of the bounced cheque. The court conducting the criminal trial may transfer the civil claim to the civil court for determination.

If the Civil Court passes a judgement against the issuer of the cheque TO PAY THE CHEQUE AMOUNT, the issuer of the cheque shall pay the same, otherwise he might be subjected to another imprisonment if he fails to implement the court’s judgement or his assets can be attached.

Hi Nikhat, thanks for your response.

My advocate has filed the case in public prosecution by his name whereas I have filed the case under my name in Police station. I want the advocate name to be changed to my name.

Will that be possible or if I want to change the advocate what is the procedure?

I will be reaching Dubai tomorrow and I will contact you in the morning.

My question is as I've filed the case so it should be on my name, but the advocate has used his name.
