What should I do if my employer refuses to cancel my visa?

Hello Sir/ Ma’am,

I'm working in a hospital in Dubai for 18 years and due to COVID-19, I was forced and released out of my work.

All other formalities are done as usual and I have a new job offer, so I want to do the cancellation but the owner does not accept to cancel my visa.

So please, can you advise?

- Type of contract I signed - Unlimited

- How long have you been working with the company? - 18 years completed

- Do you have a university degree? - Yes

The employer has to cancel their employees' work permit at MOHRE, and cancel the visa at GDRFA (General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs).

Also, the employer needs to obtain a signed work permit cancellation letter from the employee and an undertaking that the employee has received all benefits and remuneration.

So I want to know whether you have signed a work permit cancellation and all the details related.
