Requirement of exclusive agency agreement for a foreign company in the UAE

Is it mandatory to have a dedicated or exclusive agency agreement for a foreign company doing business in the UAE?

If there is an existing agency agreement, can it be cancelled without reason/cause?

Yes. For a foreign company, you have to appoint a local exclusive or non-exclusive agreements in order to enter into the market.

If there is any existing exclusive agreement, it depends upon the terms and conditions of the agreement in order to cancel it.

If the existing agreement is exclusive, then it depends upon the various factors in order to terminate and the local agent can file a case if the termination is arbitrary.
